If the installer complains that the device is in use, check the device name in WoeUSB (which is /dev/sdc in my example) and you can force it to unmount with this command. Fast and easy, Windows installers the Linux way. No special tools to download, no insanely long waits for it to run. Much easier and much faster than making a bootable Windows 10 installer from Windows, in fact. Select your downloaded ISO file, select your target device and away you go. You can download a Windows 10 ISO directly from Microsoft. You can install this easily with this command: sudo dnf install WoeUSB An important tool for any Linux-based IT staff. ![]() When using Fedora, luckily a built in tool for this exists: WoeUSB. ![]() Windows 10 Installation USB images are known to not work when made from normal USB burning tools.
